Its variable crossover filters allow you to fine-tune your sound for optimal performance. Depending on your Band-Pass Adjustments, this Full-Range Amplifier can be used for Bass, Mids, or Highs. Micro digital design maximizes the FRP-2.5K’s power output and efficiency.

DS18’s FRP-2.5K was built for durability and performance. The protective coating on the PCB prevents moisture corrosion and bonded components provide extra vibration protection. This means you can enjoy high-quality sound even in harsh conditions.

Its bass boost feature enhances your low-end frequencies for a richer, more powerful sound. The bass knob also comes with power and clip indicators: with short circuit thermal, DC offset, and high/low voltage protection - your amplifier and vehicle are safeguarded against the most common problems in car audio.

DS18’s FRP-2.5K outputs 700W RMS @ 4-Ohm; 1300W RMS @ 2-Ohm; 2500W RMS @ 1-Ohm; and 2800W RMS @ 1-Ohm (BURST) – perfect power settings to supercharge any vehicle.

RMS vs. MAX power — which number do I actually care about?

RMS is what your gear handles continuously; MAX is the short burst it can survive without complaint. Match your amplifier's RMS output to your speakers' RMS rating — sizing off the MAX number is how magic smoke gets released.

What does the IP65 rating on DS18 marine gear actually mean?

It's dust-tight and rated against low-pressure water jets from any direction — built for spray, rain, and the occasional wave over the bow, not for full submersion. If something's going somewhere it could sit underwater, that's a different conversation entirely.

How do I match an amplifier to my speakers without guessing?

Add up the RMS rating of everything the amp will power, and pick an amp whose RMS output (at your speakers' impedance — usually 4-ohm) lands close to that total. Undersized is thin sound; wildly oversized is a fast way to blow a voice coil.

Can I mix marine-grade gear into a standard car audio setup, or the reverse?
