Warranty
Here's the straight version: the gear you buy from us is covered by the manufacturer's warranty, and because we're an authorized dealer, we handle the claim for you. Buy from us, keep your proof of purchase, and if something's genuinely defective, we'll get it sorted. "We," "us," and "our" mean Northern Audio Supply LLC d/b/a Wavelength USA.
1. THE WARRANTY IS THE MANUFACTURER'S
The products we sell are covered by the product manufacturer's limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The manufacturer — not Wavelength USA — is the warrantor, and the manufacturer makes the final determination of what its warranty covers. For DS18 products, DS18 currently provides a two (2) year limited warranty to the original purchaser — see DS18’s warranty coverage page for the manufacturer’s full terms.
Wavelength USA is an authorized dealer. Purchasing from us keeps your manufacturer warranty valid. Manufacturer warranties are generally non-transferable and cover only the original purchaser, and are typically VOID on products bought from unauthorized or third-party sellers — one more reason to buy from an authorized dealer.
2. HOW TO START A WARRANTY CLAIM — CONTACT US FIRST
Because we are an authorized dealer, the manufacturer routes warranty claims for products bought from us back through us. Do not contact the manufacturer directly for a product you bought from Wavelength USA — we won't be able to help as quickly, and the manufacturer will send you back to us.
To start a claim, email team@wavelengthusa.com with:
- your order number or proof of purchase,
- the product and a description of the fault, and
- photos or a short video showing the issue.
We'll evaluate it, coordinate the manufacturer's warranty process on your behalf, and walk you through return shipping if the manufacturer requires the item back for testing. The manufacturer typically tests returned items and resolves covered claims by repair or by replacement with a new or reconditioned unit of equivalent quality; discontinued items may be replaced with the closest comparable model. Marine products must be returned clean and free of mud, dirt, and debris — dirty returns can void coverage.
3. WHAT THE WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
Manufacturer warranties generally do NOT cover, and we do not cover, damage or failure caused by:
- improper or incorrect installation;
- misuse, neglect, accident, drops, or foreign-object damage;
- inadequate or poor packing on a return;
- operating a product outside its rated parameters — for example, overpowering speakers or subwoofers, or running an amplifier below its rated minimum impedance;
- distortion or clipping from improper tuning;
- water, dust, or corrosion damage beyond the product's published IP/marine rating, or from install that did not follow the manufacturer's instructions;
- modification, tampering, or repair by anyone other than the manufacturer or its authorized service;
- theft; and
- normal wear, or cosmetic wear that does not affect function.
See our Product Safety & Installation Disclaimer for more on installation and safe use.
4. RETURNS VS. WARRANTY — TWO DIFFERENT THINGS
A warranty claim (a defective product) is different from a return (you changed your mind or the item didn't suit your build). Change-of-mind and fitment returns are governed by our Refund Policy, not this Warranty page. If you're not sure which applies, email us and we'll point you the right way.
5. OUR OWN WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
EXCEPT FOR THE MANUFACTURER'S WARRANTY DESCRIBED ABOVE, AND TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND WAVELENGTH USA (NORTHERN AUDIO SUPPLY LLC) MAKES NO WARRANTIES OF ITS OWN OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. WAVELENGTH USA IS NOT THE WARRANTOR OF THE PRODUCTS AND DOES NOT ITSELF PROVIDE A SEPARATE WRITTEN WARRANTY OR ANY SERVICE CONTRACT. Some states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or limit how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above exclusion may not fully apply to you; where an implied warranty cannot be excluded, it is limited to the duration of the manufacturer's written warranty to the greatest extent the law allows. This section gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state. Nothing in this policy affects the rights the manufacturer's warranty gives you, or any rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
6. GOVERNING LAW
This Warranty policy is governed by the laws of the State of West Virginia and the United States, consistent with our Terms of Service.
