DS18 PRO-TW920
Neodymium Super Bullet Tweeter With 1.4” Titanium Voice Coil And Screw Mounting Ring

DS18’s PRO-TW920 is a high-output super bullet tweeter with a high-efficiency motor and an upgraded mounting system to deliver piercing clarity in any setup.

Max Impact
Push 80W AES, 160W program, and up to 320W peak through this 4-ohm beast. A 1.4" titanium voice coil powered by a neodymium magnet gives you clean, distortion-free highs that cut through the mix—even in high-SPL setups.

Neodymium Motor + CNC Aluminum Bullet
The neodymium motor keeps things lightweight while delivering superior magnetic force for quicker transient response and aggressive output. Titanium diaphragm and CNC aluminum bullet ensure speed and strength in every note.

Custom Mounting
Now ships with a screw-on aluminum mounting ring and 2 rubber gasket rings (thin + thick) for a flush, rattle-free install. Adjustable mounting depth from 2" to 2.7" makes it perfect for A-pillars, dash pods, or door panels.

Easy to Service
Measuring just 2.7” diameter (3.88” with ring) and 3.01” overall depth, the TW920 fits into tighter spaces without sacrificing volume. Requires a 2" cutout for front-mount baffles.

Wide Range
Covers 700Hz–20kHz, and includes a 4.7uF/50V bass blocker for protection right out of the box. Recommended high-pass crossover: 2kHz.

Add the PRO-TW920 to your SPL system or pro build for sharp highs that slice through any mix.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

RMS vs. MAX power — which number do I actually care about?

RMS is what your gear handles continuously; MAX is the short burst it can survive without complaint. Match your amplifier's RMS output to your speakers' RMS rating — sizing off the MAX number is how magic smoke gets released.

What does the IP65 rating on DS18 marine gear actually mean?

It's dust-tight and rated against low-pressure water jets from any direction — built for spray, rain, and the occasional wave over the bow, not for full submersion. If something's going somewhere it could sit underwater, that's a different conversation entirely.

How do I match an amplifier to my speakers without guessing?

Add up the RMS rating of everything the amp will power, and pick an amp whose RMS output (at your speakers' impedance — usually 4-ohm) lands close to that total. Undersized is thin sound; wildly oversized is a fast way to blow a voice coil.

Can I mix marine-grade gear into a standard car audio setup, or the reverse?

You can run marine-grade gear in a car — it's just over-built for that environment, no downside besides cost. Running non-weatherproof car audio gear in an open UTV or boat is the direction that causes problems.

What gauge wiring kit do I need?

It scales with your amp's power draw and the length of the run — DS18's OFC kits come in 4-gauge and 8-gauge for a reason. Undersized wiring on a high-draw system is a voltage-drop and heat problem waiting to happen; when in doubt, size up.
