DS18 NXL-N2

Nano Full-Range 2-Channel Marine Amplifier

DS18’s NXL-N2 is a true all-terrain, all-weather 2-channel amplifier built for motorcycles, boats, UTVs, ATVs, and beyond.

Full-Range Power
With up to 900W at its disposal, this compact beast delivers 2x150W @ 2Ω or 2x100W @ 4Ω RMS. Got a custom setup? Run it bridged at 4Ω for a clean 1x300W and drive your favorite full-range driver or midbass combo.

Ready for Anything
The NXL-N2 is 100% sealed and tested for water, dust, and mud resistance. With an IPX67 rating, it’ll shrug off waves, rain, and trail abuse. Designed for real-world powersports and marine installs—not just showroom floor builds.

Dial In Your System
Built-in selectable crossovers (HPF / LPF / FULL) let you tailor the amp’s output to whatever speakers you're running. From crisp mids to hard-hitting low end, you're always in control.

Rock-Solid Design
Inside, a 4-layer PCB keeps signal stable under pressure. It’s designed with full thermal, overload, short-circuit, and over-voltage protection. The fully aluminum chassis doubles as a heatsink to keep things cool.

Small Footprint
At just 7.87" x 3.67" x 1.56", the NXL-N2 fits into tight spaces like bike saddlebags, glove boxes, or side-by-side dashes—perfect for stealthy, performance-first installs.

Get pro-level sound in a compact build with DS18’s NXL-N2.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

RMS vs. MAX power — which number do I actually care about?

RMS is what your gear handles continuously; MAX is the short burst it can survive without complaint. Match your amplifier's RMS output to your speakers' RMS rating — sizing off the MAX number is how magic smoke gets released.

What does the IP65 rating on DS18 marine gear actually mean?

It's dust-tight and rated against low-pressure water jets from any direction — built for spray, rain, and the occasional wave over the bow, not for full submersion. If something's going somewhere it could sit underwater, that's a different conversation entirely.

How do I match an amplifier to my speakers without guessing?

Add up the RMS rating of everything the amp will power, and pick an amp whose RMS output (at your speakers' impedance — usually 4-ohm) lands close to that total. Undersized is thin sound; wildly oversized is a fast way to blow a voice coil.

Can I mix marine-grade gear into a standard car audio setup, or the reverse?

You can run marine-grade gear in a car — it's just over-built for that environment, no downside besides cost. Running non-weatherproof car audio gear in an open UTV or boat is the direction that causes problems.

What gauge wiring kit do I need?

It scales with your amp's power draw and the length of the run — DS18's OFC kits come in 4-gauge and 8-gauge for a reason. Undersized wiring on a high-draw system is a voltage-drop and heat problem waiting to happen; when in doubt, size up.
